Circumstances of Disappearance: |
Unknown. Alexis' photo is shown age-progressed to 14 years. She lived with her mother and stepfather in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was last seen on the morning of May 3, 2002 when her stepfather walked her to school at Hi-Mount Boulevard School in the 4920 block of West Garfield Avenue near 49th street. Her stepfather said he watched Patterson walk towards the playground before he headed back home. Patterson never went to classes that day, although students reported seeing her crying on the playground before and after school. She has never been heard from again. Her mother and stepfather were not notified of Patterson's absence until after her school was dismissed that afternoon. The surrounding areas were searched after she was reported missing, including canvassing nearby Washington Park. No trace of her was found, and investigators believe she disappeared under suspicious circumstances. They reclassified her case from a missing child to a criminal investigation the following month. Her case remains unsolved. |
