age-progressed to 37 years. Ann is a Russian immigrant who came to the States in 1980. She disappeared from the Bashford Manor Mall while riding her red and white bicycle back to her home between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on June 1, 1983. Her bike (photo at right) was found at the shopping mall, but she has never been heard from again. In December 2008, Authorities announced they believed Gregory Lewis Oakley, Jr., (photo at right) was responsible for Gotlib's abduction and murder. Police believe he followed Ann to the parking lot at Bashford Manor Mall and abducted her, leaving only her bicycle behind. Oakley died after serving a prison sentence at the Lagrange reformatory for burglary, rape and being a persistent felon. Ann's whereabouts remain unknown and her case remains unsolved. |
