She may wear glasses. She has three black dots tattooed on her right hand. She has several scars underneath her right pinky finger, on her left hand, her right wrist, and on or near her left wrist. She has freckles and dimples on her cheeks, her nose is pierced and her ears are double-pierced. Her hair was dyed dark brown. |

Circumstances of Disappearance: |
Unknown. April was last seen on January 11, 2000 leaving an apartment complex in the 500 block of Marion Road in Wichita, Kansas on January 11, 2000. A friend told authorities that she saw Wiss heading towards Pawnee Street and Broadway Street between 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. that evening. Investigators believe that she may have had her pager, apartment keys and wallet with her. She has never been heard from again. Wiss was scheduled to testify in a felony trial two days after her disappearance, but authorities don't know if her disappearance is connected to the trial. She was initially classified as a runaway, but investigators have since stated that she disappeared under unclear circumstances. She had often spoken of wanting to go to California. Her case remains unsolved. |
