Identifying Characteristics:
Wears glasses with wire or plastic frames.  Tattoo of the numbers "726-5917" on inner wrist, tattoo of flames on arms extending from wrist to middle of forearm, tattoo of an angel on arm, tattoo of a ball and chain on ankle, tattoo of a skull and crossbones on shin, freckle on right cheek. He is of Caucasian/Pacific Islander descent.
Clothing/Jewelry:
A t-shirt, gray corduroy pants and blue Vans sneakers.
Circumstances of Disappearance:
Unknown. Brian was last known to be at his apartment in the vicinity of the 1300 block of SW Campus Drive in Federal Way, Washington sometime after 5:00 p.m. All his personal belongings were left behind. Barton was a member of the punk rock band As Fate Would Have It at the time of his disappearance; they had just been offered a record contract in California. Days after Barton vanished, a 1976 Ford pickup truck belonging to one of the other band members was found completely destroyed in a local junkyard, but there were no clues to Barton's disappearance in the vehicle. His case remains unsolved.
