Circumstances of Disappearance:
His photo is shown age-progressed to 40 years. Bessette was abducted by his non-custodial father, Roger Bessette, from Laval, Canada on December 20, 1972, leaving behind his mother, sisters and a brother. A few hours after the kidnapping, the father's vehicle was found abandoned on the Victoria bridge in Montreal. Rene's photograph was taken when he was 4 years old.  His whereabouts remain unknown and his case unsolved.
