Circumstances:

Amy and her brother Scott Curtis Fandel (photo below) were last seen at their cabin home on the evening of September 4, 1978. Their mother and aunt had dropped them off and returned to a restaurant named Good Time Charlie's in Sterling. Amy and Scott went to visit their next-door neighbors and returned home. Neighbors passing by the home at 11:45 p.m. noticed lights on in the cabin. When their mother and aunt returned later that night, the cabin was dark.
