Circumstances:

Madeleine disappeared from her parent's apartment on the evening of May 3, 2007 in the seaside resort of Praia da Luz in south-west Portugal. Madeleine was asleep in the room, while her parents dined nearby. On checking on her at approximately 10:00 p.m. they discovered she was missing. She has not been seen since.
