Identifying Characteristics:

She had a bandage under the right side of her jaw from a recent surgery. She had curly, shoulder length hair at the time she disappeared.

Clothing/Jewelry:

She was last seen wearing an orange jumper, blue knee-high socks, a corduroy coat, and light buff suede shoes. She was carrying a brown lunch bag with her name written on it.

Circumstances:

Jeanette was last seen with her seven-year-old sister, Renay Ray, on the morning of October 4, 1965, in Napa, California. Their father claimed he had dropped the pair off in front of Westwood Elementary School at 8:30 a.m. but they never arrived for their classes. Renay was later found murdered. Their father, Claude Ray Jr., was convicted of murdering Renay, and Jeanette is feared to have met the same fate. Jeanette has never been recovered.
