Unknown. Dan was preparing to move to Florida, where his son lives. On or around August 14th his wife, Loretta, said he ran away with another woman to Florida. Danny's family, friends and co-workers don't believe this. He had told no one of another woman. He left everything he was gathering to bring with them including his model airplanes - he had thousands of dollars invested in this hobby. He also played the drums and had around $9,000 invested in his set. Prior to his disappearance, his wife, Loretta, tried to obtain power of attorney papers from a relative, papers that were already supposedly signed by Danny. The relative refused to authorize the papers without Danny's presence. It is believed Loretta got someone else to do it, because she now has them. Within two to three days after he disappeared Loretta sold his truck, speedboat, airplanes and tools, everything he was going to take with him. He even left his cell phone and wrist watch behind. Loretta spent two years in prison on embezzlement charges about 12 years ago. |
