Circumstances of Disappearance: |
 Unknown. Michelle was last seen
at her residence in the vicinity of the 3900 block of Ozark View Road
in Ivy Bend, Missouri. Her husband of three years, Michael Shane Yarnell (picture at right), stated he came home after work and Michelle was gone. He assumed she'd gone to Holts Summit, Missouri to visit her mother and would return, but she never arrived there and has not been seen since. All her personal belongings were left behind. Her husband was named a person of interest in her case in November of 2007. In May of 2008, he was officially listed as missing, as his family and friends claimed they had not heard from him since November 5, 2005. He was located in Biloxi, Mississippi in November 2008, where he was arrested and charged with felony counts of forgery and tampering with physical evidence in connection with his wife's disappearance. The following month, he was charged with Michelle's murder. Authorities stated he confessed the crime to them. In June of 2009, Yarnell pleaded guilty to Involuntary Manslaughter and was sentenced to seven years in prison. Michelle's body has never been found.. |
