Circumstances of Disappearance: |
![]() ![]() ![]() Unknown. Shausha and her sister Shaina Ashly Kirkpatrick (photo near right) were last seen with their mother, Kimyala Henson (photo second right),
when they left to go on vacation. They planned to travel to British Columbia, Canada with Kimyala's friend, Christina Mayer (photo far right), and a man Mayer introduced as her husband, Curtis. Mayer's husband was actually Frank Oehring, a fugitive from Missouri (photo far right). He was wanted after allegedly attempting to murder his ex-wife. Kimyala and her daughters spent the night of April 5 at the Shasta Lodge in Redding, California with Mayer and Oehring. They reportedly stopped in Sacramento during the day to allow Kimyala to pick up her birth certificate. There has been no sign of the children since that time.
Mayer and Oehring died April 20, 2001 in a murder-suicide at a rest stop in Florida. Florida law enforcement officials found Henson's wallet and credit cards in a car parked at the rest area and traced the transactions. Investigators suspect they were fraudulently signed by Mayer. The children's car seats and luggage were missing, but investigators found a few articles of clothing and diapers in the vehicle. It was determined that Mayer and Oehring had traveled to Florida through Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Kimyala Henson, 21, was found partially buried near Nixon, Nevada on April 28, 2001. She had been beaten and shot, and authorities believe she was killed by Mayer and Oehring. A search of the area showed no clues to the whereabouts of her daughters. Authorities believe that Mayer and Oehring traveled to Florida alone during 2001. The children's whereabouts remain unknown
and they are considered at risk. |
