Identifying Characteristics:
Pierced left ear, tattoo of a blue cross with an orange outline on left shoulder, tattoo of a blue cross with the name "Pruitt" in the cross on right forearm. Smolinski is bowlegged. He wears his hair in a crew cut.
Clothing/Jewelry:
Blue jeans, blue denim shirt, work boots. Small diamond earring worn in left ear, rope style gold chain necklace with a gold cross pendent.
Medical:
He is allergic to shellfish.
Circumstances of Disappearance:
Unknown. William was last seen at his residence in the vicinity of the 100 block of Holly Street in Waterbury, Connecticut between 3:30 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. on August 24, 2004. He went to a neighbor's residence and asked her to take care of his dogs as he was leaving for a few days to see about a car. He was supposed to give her hi keys, but never did and has never been heard from again. All of his personal belongings, including his truck, were left behind. His wallet and keys were inside the truck. His whereabouts are unknown and his case remains unsolved.
